About Imagine Team

We love building awesome answers to real problems. Experiencing the stories and passions of clients who want to change the world is just a bonus. We started in 2011 with the simple belief that the best way to solve tough problems was to make them our own. They deliver within the specified time, not to comprise with the quality of work & affordable pricing. Their motives are changed into practicality, so you can trust this company.

Mixed reality build that landed exactly where the brief pointed and then went further

Project summary: A previous engagement had delivered something that worked in staging and struggled in production. We approached this project with greater rigour in vendor selection as a result.

The project brief was ambitious and we had received proposals ranging from two to five times our eventual budget from other vendors. This team came back with a proposal that was commercially realistic and technically credible — and then delivered against it. That alignment between proposal and outcome is not something I take for granted. I have been on the other side of it enough times to know it requires both honesty in the sales process and discipline in delivery. We experienced both.

PROS

Delivery timeline that proved achievable rather than optimistic, estimation accuracy that reflected real analysis rather than competitive bidding, scope discipline that prevented the feature creep we had experienced before

CONS

Their insistence on a detailed functional specification before development began felt like friction at the time. In retrospect, it was the reason the development phase ran without the ambiguity that has derailed similar projects for us previously

Questions & Answers

Please describe your company, your role, and the industry you operate in.
Sakura Digital KK is an established Gaming & Gambling organisation headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. My role as Director of IT Strategy covers both strategic planning and operational technology delivery. We maintain high standards for our vendors because our clients hold us to high standards — a bar we expect our partners to meet.
What specific problem or business challenge led you to hire this company?
A competitive threat had accelerated our roadmap. We had planned a significant AR/VR Development investment for the following year. External pressure moved that timeline forward by six months and required us to find an external partner rather than attempting to build internally in the time available.
What services did the company provide for your project?
The core engagement was AR/VR Development delivery, though their scope expanded to include technical consultancy during discovery that materially improved our requirements. They also took ownership of the third-party integration workstream that had been a coordination challenge in previous projects, removing that complexity from our internal team entirely.
Why did you choose this company over other providers you considered?
The quality of the questions they asked during the briefing process was the first indicator. Vendors who ask precise questions in the sales phase tend to apply the same rigour during delivery. That hypothesis proved accurate. The technical proposal was substantive, the team structure was senior throughout, and the pricing was transparent.
How clearly did the company understand your requirements and business goals?
Comprehensively. The discovery phase they ran was more thorough than anything we had experienced with previous vendors. They challenged requirements that were vague or contradictory, proposed alternatives where our initial thinking was limiting, and produced a functional specification that our internal stakeholders agreed was the clearest articulation of the product they had seen written down.
How was your overall experience with their communication and project management?
Professional and efficient. The project manager maintained a clear view of the critical path at all times and communicated changes to it transparently. The one significant scope adjustment we made mid-project was handled through a clean change request process — fairly priced, clearly documented, and absorbed without disrupting the overall timeline.
Did the company deliver the project on time and within your expected budget?
Yes to both. There was a single sprint where a dependency on a third-party API introduced a one-week delay. The team identified it three weeks in advance, presented two mitigation options, and we agreed on an approach that recovered the schedule within the same sprint cycle. That level of foresight is what separates good project management from reactive problem management.
What tangible results or business impact have you seen since the project was completed?
The ROI case we presented to our board was conservative by design. Current performance against the financial model suggests we will hit the projected payback point in under twelve months against an eighteen-month target. The operational efficiency gains in particular have exceeded the model, in part because the quality of the data the new platform generates supports decisions that the previous system could not.
What did you like most about working with this company?
Their instinct for keeping the business objective visible throughout technical decision-making. I have worked with technically excellent teams who lose the strategic thread as complexity increases. This team maintained a clear connection between every architectural choice and the outcome we had agreed to achieve. That orientation made the trade-off conversations significantly easier.
Would you recommend this company to others, and would you work with them again?
Yes, without reservation. I have already made two direct referrals within my Gaming & Gambling network — in both cases to peers facing AR/VR Development challenges similar to ours. I gave those referrals with confidence because I knew the experience I described was reproducible, not the result of exceptional circumstances on our engagement.

FAQs

Does Imagine Team actually build with AI, or just talk about it?
Plenty of modern software teams, Imagine Team included, now build real AI and machine learning features — chatbots, predictive models, computer vision, and automation that goes beyond simple rule-based scripts. For context, it has experience across industries such as Advertising & Marketing, Energy & Utilities, Gaming & Gambling, Construction, Education and Legal Services, and its listed capabilities span App Marketing, Digital Strategy, Mobile App Development, UI-UX Design and Web Development.
Is Imagine Team more of an offshore setup or a local team?
That depends on where Imagine Team is based and who they primarily serve — some firms like this operate fully offshore, some are local-first, and plenty run a hybrid model that mixes both. For context, its listed capabilities span App Marketing, Digital Strategy, Mobile App Development, UI-UX Design and Web Development, and its typical hourly rate is around N/A.
What happens with Imagine Team after the project actually launches?
Like most established software teams, Imagine Team typically sticks around post-launch for ongoing maintenance — bug fixes, performance tuning, security patching, new feature work, and general technical support. For context, its listed capabilities span App Marketing, Digital Strategy, Mobile App Development, UI-UX Design and Web Development, and it has been operating since 2011.
What makes Imagine Team worth considering over other options?
What tends to set Imagine Team apart usually comes down to some mix of technical depth, relevant industry experience, how clients describe working with them, their development approach, communication habits, and whether they can actually deliver something that scales. Founded in 2011, the company has built a track record of delivering projects across various industries.
What kind of software work does Imagine Team take on?
Imagine Team typically covers the standard range of software development work — mobile apps, web platforms, custom internal tools, UI/UX design, cloud infrastructure, AI integrations, and larger enterprise builds. Its core focus areas include App Marketing, Digital Strategy, Mobile App Development, UI-UX Design and Web Development.
Would Imagine Team be a good fit for an early-stage startup?
Generally, yes — companies like Imagine Team tend to work well with startups because of what they typically offer: MVP builds, product strategy input, architecture that can scale later, and dedicated teams that keep costs manageable while still moving fast. For context, its listed capabilities span App Marketing, Digital Strategy, Mobile App Development, UI-UX Design and Web Development, and its typical hourly rate is around N/A.
What kinds of industries has Imagine Team actually built for?

For context, its listed capabilities span App Marketing, Digital Strategy, Mobile App Development, UI-UX Design and Web Development, and it reports a team size of 2 - 9 professionals.
Does Imagine Team only work locally, or take on clients elsewhere too?
